Glacial Species & Grades

FAS Selects & Btr Red is our highest yielding grade pulled specifically for red color yielding at a minimum 83-1/3% clear face cutting and 66 2/3% on the back. Each Cherry board has a minimum of 90 /50 heartwood either face. Cherry FAS Selects & Btr Red is ideal for applications requiring long, wide clear-face cuttings or multiple rips and chops. Minimum cutting sizes of 3” x 7’ or 4” x 5’. Excessive gum pockets, pin knots, sapwood or extreme color variation on either face are removed. We grade after drying and surfacing, and against all natural drying or surfacing defects (pin knot no defect).
